I don't really see it. But yeah, the casting of Sirius and Lupin didn't jive with me at all. Sirius should've been played by a male model!! /delu Sirius stan

I liked (and still do like) Gary Oldman as Sirius, but the guy who played Remus (whose name escapes me)... just didn't look anywhere near right to me :/ He did a fine job and all, but didn't suit Remus. In my opinion.

ia, he wasn't how I imagined Remus at all. Remus should've been more...gentle and laid-back? idk. I was pretty influenced by fanon depictions.

I agree. I liked him as a character in his own right, but he didn't give off that feeling of... yeah, "gentleness".

This is why I just treat them as two completely different things. I'll never be happy with the movies otherwise. X_x

I was never in fandom and I agree. I saw Remus as being gentle and adorkable with a slight Byronic-tortured-artist thing going on, all in a soft, non-threatening package. With pretty much every other character, if the movie portrayal didn't match what was in my head, I could shrug my shoulders and say "That works, too." With Remus, it made me feel like I must have read the text completely wrong.

I always pictured Remus as a lot... smaller, and exhausted and weary. David Thewlis was super tall and had a weird presence that was a bit scary and forceful at times. Just didn't fit. Remus was the kid who was shocked that he had friends.
