OP, shipping slash is not something to be ashamed of. And it most definitely doesn't hurt a character to be in a same-sex ship, like what. What is that even.

I...don't see how a few people saying that Matt did have a canon relationship with a woman in the show is being homophobic. OP said that Matt would just not work with any women on the show, which was false. Not that she couldn't ship him with Tai, lol

Trouble is, I'm afraid to ship it, along with a buttload of other pairings. I don't want to "hurt" my favorite character.

That's the part which makes me go all slidey-eyes at it.
