It's pretty obvious that Walt's feelings for Jesse go beyond Jesse being useful to him, given how many times Jesse messed things up. Even Vince Gilligan, who hates Walt at this point, has said as much.

I think they did at one point. They had kind of a warped father/son relationship going on, particularly after Jane's death. I'm only up to the first half of S5, but I would say at that point, Walt's love for Jesse is pretty minimal and overshadowed by his own power trip. Jesse has screwed up, but Walt has manipulated Jesse to such a degree that if it is a father/son relationship, it's certainly an abusive one.
