Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone came out in 2001, it was cast and began filming in 2000. Cillian Murphy was born in 1976 (maybe when they reboot because you know that’s coming someday).

Mark Strong was born in 1963. When I first saw him in Stardust, I thought he'd be a good Snape.

I could see him as Snape. What I really remember him from is Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes.

I would have killed for Eddie Izzard to be in Harry Potter XD He would have made for such a interesting Pettigrew or just a fabulous background Death Eater XD

I think John Barrowman is a bit bulky and tall for Sirius, however he would be perfect casting for Gideroy Lockhart, I can see him in that role being as good as Branagh is, and Kenneth B is perfect!
