Right, because it's so much healthier and more empowering to spend all your time being pissed off and "combating" stuff that never would've bothered you if you hadn't been immersed in this kind of thinking. Hence the world becomes a place where not only are there assholes, but the assholes are now being continually browbeaten, and the rest of us who just want to ignore the assholes and get on with our lives like we've always done now have to listen to it. Big improvement.

uh there are lots of people who were offended by stuff, social justice just gave them the words they needed to realize why? you really believe just tumblr made people get offended by things, that's why activist groups never happened in reality, right?

I believe there are people who have always been rightfully offended by things they have every good reason to be offended about. And there are also people who never gave a damn or noticed a problem until somebody else told them they should, and then decided they were victims because everybody on Tumblr says so, so it must be true, right? (This is not a phenomenon unique to Tumblr, it's an aspect of human nature that has always been there, but that Tumblr happens to facilitate to a disturbing degree.)

I have seen so many comments about "realizing" about this or that thanks to fandom safe spaces and I keep wondering: they never stopped to think by themselves why something brothered them, why something felt wrong? They really never had an inkling about anything before getting involved with SJW?

They probably did. Maybe they got a word for what they felt they didn't have before. But a lot of times, they just want to belong to a group so they proudly declare how the group has helped them.
