Exactly. Me, I'm in my mid-20s. I love my mother. So sometimes when I have a shitty day at work and everything feels overwhelming, I like to go to her house and get a hug from her and dinner and not have to deal with the stress of real-adult-life.

If I lived with her all the time (despite having my own income, etc.) and insisted on daily hugs and meals prepared by her all the time, then yes, that might become problematic.

But me wanting to be able to go see my mom and get a hug and a warm meal and no judgment? Is not a fucking problem in and of itself. It means I just like having a place with people who care for my well-being and won't judge me. That's not ~coddling~, that's keeping me sane sometimes.

Everyone deserves a place like that.
