Yes, this. I was by chance present in a reunion where a politician of certain relevance started speaking by saying "Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Oh, and faggots too, we have to be inclusive." And then everybody in the room laughed (or so it seemed to me), while I just sat there, shocked. Because this is an acceptable joke in a society where machismo is prevalent, even people I respect and trust though it funny or at least didn't seem to find it offensive.
