Autoerotic Asphyxiation

Anyone ever tried it? Does it... work as advertised?

As a warning.

It's seriously seriously risky and a good way to have your parents have to make it look like you committed suicide if you're doing it alone.

Or they'd have to blame it on ninjas.

Noted.

No idea. FYI: In the BSDM community, erotic asphyxiation is deeply frowned upon because it is so dangerous. There's a very fine line between unconsciousness, brain damage, and death. And when you're doing it to yourself, it's impossible to stop it if you pass out.

Uh, no it's not. Granted, it's not a very safe activity, but if you're careful about your methods, you won't accidentally kill yourself.

OP here.

Those methods are in fact one of the things I was hoping to find out about from this thread.

do you have a bdsm scene in your area? sometimes clubs and stuff have meetups and stuff - if you can get acquainted with a dom/me, they should be able to teach you safe methods or set you up with someone who can

Only on myself and very lightly, and the orgasm was definitely more intense. Tbh I find it too risky to do it regularly or with more "conviction"

Just as a clarification - and I'm sorry if I'm being presumptuous - take the auto off and do it with someone else. Never choke alone. It's magnitudes safer if there's someone else there, even if they aren't a participant. Going along with that, use hands, not ties. Even a winter scarf can knot up and get stuck, or a belt can snag, and you can't deal with that when your brain is panicking on lack of oxygen, and you can't rely on a partner not to panic, especially their first time. Hand release immediately.

Yes, it works. I find, mentally, that it doesn't work when I do it to myself; I have to receive it from another person, but other people are, of course, different.

Be safe, and have fun. But be safe.

Also keep in mind, brain damage is cumulative. A teensy bit this time, a teensy bit next time, before long you can't remember how to spell you name (or worse.)
