Yeah, I feel that way, too. I could at least boil water and was sewing up minor tears in my clothes when I was in grade school. Of course, supplies were in the house for me to learn with, so I imagine I would have been boned if my guardian hadn't been able to do shit, either. But if adults around you could sew and cook and clean for you and you've ever observed them doing it, and you're still mystified by laundry and cooking instructions by the time you hit adulthood (and you're mentally and physically capable of comprehending these things, of course) then I really don't know what the hell happened. Hell, you don't even need the parent if you have decent internet access, Google, people!
