...Do people who don't drive need to know how to pump gas? Not ragging on you, just curious about exceptions to rules and stuff. :P

(Not saying I couldn't, because it seems straightforward enough. I just... Never needed to do it.)

It's a useful thing if you're going to help someone, but if you don't drive, i don't imagine you'd *need* to know. But it's one of those things i'd *want* to know, just because it's such a common thing, you know?

99% of pumps have instructions on them now.

different person here but personally, I define skills as a 'will this save me in a zombie apocalypse scenario' like I don't have the muscle dexterity to drive stick safely but I still learnt 'how to do it' because I am afraid of being in a doomsday scenario and only finding a stick shift and dying so lol

but I mean gas is pretty self explanatory I think so long as you have basic familiarity with the pump and have ridden in cars and been to gas stations before. it's the 'hitting the desired amount on the penny' that has a trick to it, but for some people it's still a natural thing.
