Fans come in all ages. I'm considerably older than you, and don't conceal it. Anybody who doesn't like it can take a long walk off a short pier!

I have to agree. I too am older and stay in fandom. I love Doctor Who. So I am a year younger then it. Why should I stop loving it because I am "old" I have liked it since 72, so why stop now!

Can I just say, as someone who was born in the mid-80s so I had no new Doctor Who for the vast majority of my childhood and had to rely on my dad's subscription to Sky (and therefore UK Gold) for repeats of old serials...that I think it's awesome you still love Who after all this time. My dad was nine when it first aired and I talk to him about the show and its history. But he's not by any stretch a fandom or even Internet sort of person. So basically I would love to talk to someone of your generation about Doctor Who fandom things. Your age wouldn't bother me at all.

Pretty much. I've had people come to me and suddenly we're talking about Eragon - and these people are around forty. If you're enjoying yourself in a healthy way, fandom is for everyone.
