I fade in and out of fandom. Whether I'm still around it at 80 will all depend on how I feel towards fandom and that doesn't involve 'am I too old for this?' in any way.

Me too. I tend to get more interested in fandom when I'm going through a difficult time IRL, and I find such positive and thoughtful people here. Escapism isn't always bad, and there are definitely more unhealthy outlets...

All too true. I've gotten too involved and it never ends well. Fandom can be balanced along with other parts of your life, but too much of anything isn't good. Not even school. :(
