again how many people has walter killed that weren't already as bad/guilty as he was

Again? Have we talked about this before?

Dude, Walt poisoned a little kid. He watched Jesse's gf choke to death. Also, you shouldn't kill people, period. Even if you consider them as bad as yourself. Maybe Walt should've killed himself according to your logic a while ago, then?

walt is clearly a shitty person, but saying he's left a trail of poor victims behind him in bullshit. he's literally not any worse than any other person we've seen involved in the meth empire.

I fail to see your point. Or logic. It's not bullshit to say he's left a trail of poor victims - it's the truth. AGAIN (I now get why you must hear this often) - Brock. Jesse' gf. The prisoners, as the anon below mentioned.

We haven't seen most of his victims as intimately as Walt, so who are we to judge them? Just the fact that a person is surrounded by people who also do bad things doesn't excuse the bad things the person does.

da

I'd argue that he's way worse than Jesse... Worse than Skinny Pete or Badger, worse even than Mike. It's arguable whether he's worse than Gus. Gus has canonically threatened kids and has used them in his empire, but it's not like Walt saw much of a problem with using kids as mules either. He didn't think it was a major issue for Todd to kill that one kid. At least with Gus, any threats towards kids were under very controllable conditions: Do X and I'll retaliate with Y. Walt just acts without thinking and people around him are hurt as a result, completely outside of his control.

By that argument, it's fine to kill him.

Jesse's GF, Jane. Some of those prison inmates probably. I can't imagine they were all horrible.

Arguably everyone who purchased meth made with the recipe he developed. His actions have nearly gotten Jesse killed several times as well. Then there's Jane, of course, whose death caused her father to eventually commit suicide. And the danger and emotional trauma (plus attempted sexual assault) he's committed against Skyler.

Walt's a very charismatic character and a fun one to watch. I don't think he's 100% evil to his core but I do think he's arrogant, self centered, and deluded. And very very dangerous.

Plus the people on the airplane! Were there other people on the plane?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-15 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
192 people, I think. Or was it flight 192? It was a lot of people killed, anyway. I'm not sure we can fully put their deaths on Walt's shoulders but his actions certainly contributed to what occurred.
