Secrets like this make me less terrified of getting older.

Having said that, I don't understand why anyone would "judge" old people for being in fandom. It's like any other hobby, and no one ever accuses people of being "too old" for hockey or birdwatching or tapestry weaving or whatever.

They do, however, say that about things like video games, and roleplaying games, for instance.
