Okay uh...I understand annoyance toward this but...that much anger. I mean dude, you can always just close the tab or back button out. I mean I never got people flying into a fucking rage because the story went a way they didn't like.

I have backbuttoned out of several stories that had unwarned character bashing. I dislike character bashing intensely. But when I see it slipped in? "blegh" I close it and find something else more pleasant. I don't feel like I'm ENTITLED to make a snarky comment because I was "tricked" into reading something I hate.(I did once comment bluntly on the OOCness of one bashfic, but that was just because everyone was praising it as a 'deep awesome fic') Yeah it's your time but....no one's making you read it. and if you choose to go another chapter of a fic you hate then...well that's your choice.

Is this concept that hard, really?

Did you not see that they said that it was their time by not fucking tagging for the shitty-shitty shit-crap OC and Self Insert Mary Sue then the author has wasted their time five seconds or five minutes it matters not. Damn right everyone is entitled to hatebomb that writer off the internet. They can go steal time off someone else.

Are you like compelled to click on every fic you see or something? Yes tagging OCs is a good thing to do, but forgetting to do it isn't a crime. You can just as easily say "Please tag for OC".

Hatebombing is the most juvenile reaction I can imagine.

But I guess the General Internet Fuckwad Theory has caused the death of maturity on the internet.

Someone forgets a tag "OMG SPAM THEM WITH 30 REVIEWS OF CUSSING THAT'LL TEACH 'EM"

But yes. I'm a moron for not realizing that people are entitled to their hissy fits when they click on something and find they don't like it when they can just as easily calmly tell the author to include a tag for OC like a mature adult.

Did you not see that they are demanding the author spend time writing up warnings and tags and whatnot - this is time out of the author's life, and it matters not if it is five minutes or five seconds. Seeing as the author has already spent so much TIME giving you free fanfic, it's obviously churlish to expect more.

That seems to be the logic of your argument, anyway.

I don't see how a rude comment is needed unless they're rude when you tell them OC warnings are expected.

Well obviously not all the time, but depending on my mood and how much of my time was wasted - I may or may not make a comment along the lines of "jfc tag for your OC's next time" and then never go back. no kudos obviously hah.

I am not foud of bait and switches >:( If your OC is going to be a main character people should tag or mention it. Depending on the fandom/what I'm looking for - I can decide if I want to read it or not but chances are if I'm looking for fanfic I don't want to read about an OC - no matter how well written
