2nding the "crutches are a temporary measure" thing :) I think (& this is coming from my own experiences with anxiety and depression) that everything is only really a crutch that helps for a while and eventually peters out.

So every so often, maybe every year or two, we have to really dig back into the brain meats and sort things out again. I keep a list of things I call my "feel better book" which is silly, but ehh, it works for me. Things that are guaranteed to give me a boost - and when everything seems miserable and none of those things help or I can't even get up the energy to do any of them, then it's probably time to see a therapist and get some outside perspective for a few sessions so I'm good to go for the next year or two.

Fandom was good, but now it's time to try something new to push yourself forward again?
