I also lol because the whole "I HATE THE WAY XX IS DRAWN" is so old school now.

People hate shoujo. People hate shounen. Okay. I thought the stories were more important. :( *reads Beck anyway-- WELL IT'S NOT THAT UGLY BUT THE BACKGROUND CHARACTERS ARE*

Well, you gotta admit there are trends depending on the genre--I mean, look at Naruto/Bleach/other high-profile shounen and then look at Fruits Basket/Ouran High School Host Club/other shoujo. Shounen tends to be more streamlined while shoujo tends to be more sparkly and flowery and big-eyed, because that's what the stories call for. But yeah, art style is definitely one of the least of my priorities (I mean, hell, I'm a Nougami Neuro fan).

Oh yes, I know that. Though I miss Naruto's old style because everything is so... linear. .___. But I'm guilty of reading Mayu Shinjo stuff and in all her stories, the characters look EXACTLY THE SAME. She can draw only like two faces, seriously.

I SAW WHAT THE MANGA LOOKS LIKE. SO DIFFERENT.
