I can completely understand that. Even face blindness aside, The Wire is very, very bad at giving characters' names. They'll say a character's name once fleetingly and then not say it again for up to a season and half. Not joking. I could follow very easily which main group a character was in, but it always would take like 6 episodes before I got their names down. I wanted a book of headshots so could follow it better.
