I'm very conscious of telling them as much as possible, from little everyday details to major significant stuff in my life, but that is partly because there are areas of my life that I absolutely do not want to share with them. I have a hard being open about anything that makes me feel emotionally weak (I can admit plenty of stupid mistakes and ask for advice no problem, but confide in them about my problematic love life? Off limits. Or if I had a medical concern that impacted my life they'd definitely get told, but if I was just worrying and didn't know anything yet, not very likely).
