Well, for Teen Wolf, I wish people would stop naming their kids after their parents (or Laura). It's not necessarily out of character or anything, but neither is it a given (which some authors seem to treat it as). Of course, if Allison and Scott have a girl and call her Victoria, you had better be writing an AU. And if the kid is named after a still living parent, for the love of God, give them a nickname.

I could actually see Scott and Allison naming their kid Victoria. Allison has very magical rose colored glasses when it comes to her precious family, and I can see Scott giving in just because he loves her.

AYRT

Now, I could maybe see Scott giving in (Stiles would bring it up all the time, though - "Yes, little Vicky, you are named after your mom's mom, who totally tried to kill your dad when she found out they were still seeing each other and that's why I'm calling you Mac. Mac McCall, that has a ring to it doesn't it?") I just can't see Allison (when she's not in berserker-mode because anything goes then) naming their child after her mom when their relationship is tied to her death the way it is - I mean, if she's using the name to honor her mother.

this. so many Lauras, Talias and now Claudias for Derek & Stiles' daughter. And I've also come across a little Victoria. Yes, people do name their kids after deceased relatives, but it's so rampant in this fandom.
