I love this thread! It's kind of nice to know I'm not alone. I did know that already, but...

I always try to watch films/TV with someone else, so that each time a new character comes on screen they can tell me whether we've already been introduced to that character or not. Unless it's someone with really distinctive features, of course, but there aren't nearly enough of them!
