To be fair, I never really was all that into vanilla smut, even before I actively started reading it.

Even the very first time I stumbled across porn, vanilla sex bored me and I had to start looking around for kinky or rough stuff to get off. For context, I was around 10 when I finally managed to get unrestricted Internet access, with my only knowledge of sex and erotica being the basic sex ed stuff I'd gotten from my mother and school.

In a way, it gets even worse for me - my father is an artist and both my parents are kind of hippies who don't believe in child protective censorship or anything, which meant they never bothered trying to hide this book about nude photography from me. Being that I loved going through our bookshelves, it didn't take long until I stumbled across it...at age 7. Even back then, I quickly got bored of the pictures of people just standing around or doing every day activities while naked, but some photos implying BDSM elements or other kinky nonsense captured my interest for years until Internet really became a big part of my life.

So I was "escalated" almost literally from the get go. No serious problems as a result just yet...
