Finally someone is making sense in this thread.
I got a similar excuse a few years ago from an ex-friend of mine. She was absolutely crazy for m/m and f/m but "couldn't relate to" f/f pairings.

Kind of odd, being able to "relate" to two guys together but not to two girls when you yourself are female. People like that should just admit that shipping to them is all about the sex. Shipping for porn is a-ok. Just don't pull that "can't relate to" shit.

Yeah, the BS about not relating to the opposite gender or people from different backgrounds sucks. Come on, we're all human beings and while our individual experiences differ, on an emotional level, we feel the same shit.
