Awesome, a Stargate secret! But I mostly disagree. In all honesty, I haven't been thrilled with Michael Shanks in anything else I've seen him in (kind of like Joe Flanigan sorry to say), but I loved him as Daniel. More in the early seasons than the later ones, but then there was Vala, and I LOVED Vala. I still am bitter that we only got two seasons of her. And I thought the two of them had amazing chemistry, which is saying something because they had to endure some awful writing.

Each to their own. Vala is my favorite of all the Stargate female characters (followed by Elizabeth) but I can mostly see why people might not like her. In all honesty, if she'd been played by a different actress I might not have cared for her either, but I thought Claudia Black did an amazing job with the character.

Claudia Black is one of my all time favorite female actors, Aeryn Sun is my favorite female character ever. But I despised Vala, I could just see the writers/showrunners creaming their pants every times she showed up on screen.

Aeryn's my favorite female character too, but I still loved Vala. But I also happen to like that particular trope - the sexy thief with a heart of gold. I have ever since Amanda on Highlander. Now the writers handled it terribly at times, and I'm not saying there weren't some scenes that made me cringe, but...I don't know. Still thought she was awesome.
