i don't give a flipping shit about games, but "oel manga" is the most idiot name i ever saw.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-19 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
how would you call it then?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-19 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
comics.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-19 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
and people who buy comics wouldn't buy it, because ewww it's a manga. and liekwise, people who buy manga wouldn't buy it either, because it's in the comic section of the store.

They're all comics. Never seen people having a problem with European and American comics being in the same section of the store.

well, here in europe asian, american and european comics are segregated into different places of the store. so it makes perfect sense for us to put such manga-inspired comics into manga section, rather then next to wolverine or watchmen in american section, where none of the weeaboos will venture.

ayrt

Well, "here in Europe" idk. Because I'm from Germany, which is in Europe, and at least American and European comics have always been in the same corner of the comic shops I know.

uh, manga = comics.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-19 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
that's true, but the target for say superhero comics, and big eyes small mouth comics with sparkly bishonens is vastly different, and as such shouldn't be lumped into one place. at least from marketing point of view.
