I have totally heard of this game! I remember looking it up years(?) ago. Aren't they on a boat or something? Trying to figure out a mystery? It sounded really interesting to play.

It's set on a spaceship in the future, and from what I have seen of it (and knowing the prequel), it's about the population's descent into unbelievably regressive neo-Confucianism. Like, "women have no rights and are chattel" regressive. In its favor, though, at least one of the non-player characters recognizes that that's incredibly fucked up (don't know what *Mute thinks about it since I haven't seen that route yet).

^ Not much mystery, you're a space investigator on a mission to download some files from a spaceship, really you just learn the history of what happened there, and yeah, it's really sad and fucked up and not for the faint of heart. And then in the second game, you learn how society got that way. But then there are cutesy little anime AI girls that love you? It's an interesting mix.
