Looking up at the sky in video games freaks the heck out of me, and I'm stil not quite sure why. But I used to have to close my eyes every time I played the Ballad of Gales in Wind Waker. :\

Do you get vertigo or is it just scary? And is it just open skies or any sky?

I looked up what vertigo involves and I'm pretty sure it's not that, just an irrational fear. I think it's some kind of weird variation on the uncanny valley, somehow? Like the fact that there is a big endless sky in this fake world is just too real for me. D: So yeah, just opn skies probably.

This happens to me with google maps, open spaces of water on maps, and space or empty 3D spaces. It's terrifying.

Ugh, thank god it's not just me. Would you say it is for the same reasons?
