ME TOO! ZOMBIES SCARE ME MORE THAN ANY MONSTER EVER! Even the Thriller zombies. They just...freak me the fuck out. I'd say 30% of my nightmares involve zombies chasing/killing me. I think they freak me out so much because I loathe the idea of being some mindless killing machine that could hurt my family. And because I have no idea how much awareness I would have inside my body. :C

Hah! I keep on reading zombie books. (I just finished "Fiend" by Peter Stenson. OMG! Goodbye, sleep!) I guess I am a masochist when it comes to terrorizing myself.

This isn't weird. Zombies are a legit scary concept. There's an inherent wrongness of dead things being a] hungry and b] moving. They also play on human-on-human violence concerns that are such a generalized fear that I've heard it referred to as a "universal phobia." With a little urban decay and economic collapse baked in for good measure.

All wrapped up in one neat little package. Zombies are freaking terrifying.

Don't worry. The actual likelihood of a zombie apocalypse happening is very low, even if zombies do manage to exist some day. Living humans are very good at killing things with weapons, and not very good at killing things without them. Seriously. Human jaws and nails are kind of shitty weapons.

Just invest in a leather or denim jacket with a high collar, thick pants and gloves, a helmet with a face shield and some sort of whacking object and you'll be groovy.
