But Keahu is painfully bad. I feel like Jeff tried, and Keahu let him (and all of us) down. Every line he delivers is wooden and flat. Even Dylan can't prop up his lack of talent. I know the rest of the cast aren't about to win any Academy Awards, but even Posey and Hoechlin raised their game in 3a. Canon!Danny =/= Fanon!Danny

Also, given the embarrassing SDCC'13 spectacle, Jeff will probably give him the axe in 3b.

What happened at SDCC'13?

Keahu showed up at the panel and asked a question, dressed as a character he made up. He was incredibly sweet and funny, the cast did not seem bothered, the fans loved it. There was nothing embarrassing about it. I literally have no idea what Other Anon is talking about.

A lot of the cast actually seemed really uncomfortable with it and JD made a bunch of jokes about killing off Danny in 3b because of it.

Keahu wasn't on the panel and asked why he wasn't up there. It was a 'joke', but from what I heard from a couple people...it really wasn't. Keahu was actually pretty damn upset he hadn't been included in the cast panel, where the twins had been, but he hadn't. He just happened to be at the con with friends.

From what you heard where?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-20 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
NAYRT and I didn't actually hear anything, but Keahu was approached by some interviewers the day after he was first there in costume (he wore the same one all the days he was there). At least once he was asked about not being on the panel and he kinda went off on a rant and then just shrugged it off like he'd been joking but he was really tense for the rest of the interview and nothing like I've ever seen him in previous interviews.

He also tweeted something about a week after the 3a finale about the twins always being part of Revelations and even Ian Bohen, who plays Peter, but they don't want him.

It really does seem like he has some real resentment about being the only original teen character castmember who isn't included in promotional stuff. He's not in photos or included in events, even private stuff like the TW screenings they do at Jeff's house (he's been left out of most of them). I don't blame him, to be honest, so I might be projecting how I think I would feel and act in his shoes. But ti's also how I think most people would feel if they were the person who were always being excluded, so it's not entirely unreasonable to think that's how he feels.

is that video on youtube?

and how do you know he doesnt go to the screenings?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-20 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
The embarrassing SDCC'13 spectacle? I think you were the only one embarrassed. I'm not sure why...

Also, Keahu is bad? Do you know why that probably is? Because this is literally the first thing he's ever done aside from commercials. He needs practice. And how did he ''let all of us down?'' By...not having a storyline?

You sound like a Jeff Davis apologist, tbh.

DA.
Dylan had never done any acting before Teen Wolf and he blows Keahu out of the water. Keahu seems like a great guy in real life but he is not a very good actor and while I actually would love Danny to get more screen time they should get Keahu some acting lessons first.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-20 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
DA

Right, and all the other young actors on TW are as good as Dylan.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-20 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol, are we pretending that Dylan is an actually good actor?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-20 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yawn, run along little troll, run along.

I thinks it's a fair point that Dylan might not be a good actor. Having seen some of his youtube videos of his younger day I think Stiles is similar to him. I do wonder if he is a good actor or he got lucky and is just playing a more extreme version of himself.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-21 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be a fair point if all we'd seen from Stiles was comedy but Dylan plays the emotional scenes with just as much skill as he does the funny scenes. He has a deft touch with scenes that could easily become melodramatic and OTT and you can just see all the emotions playing across his face. Of course Keahu hasn't really been given the chance to play these sorts of scenes but I find his line delivery to be very robotic and unnatural in what we've seen so far.

Every interview that I've seen from people in the industry that talk about Dylan mention how talented he is and I'll take their opinion over an internet troll any day.

I have to ask, you really think Hoechlin raised his game in 3a?
