Harry Potter. I'm in</i the HP fandom, but I'm so sick of the same people saying the same shit and everyone else thinking we're all like that. Yes, JKR hates your ship and Cassandra Claire is evil. I want my HP websites to come back so I can go hide there with the sane people.

Same on Harry Potter. It's just how fans act like it's the "best thing ever" and...yeah, nope...

I don't get this sort of attitude. What's it to you if someone does think it's the best thing ever? Do you really need everyone to agree with you so badly that it annoys you to see someone think so highly of something you don't think is that great?

There's a thing called personal taste. There's no rule for what is considered "the best ever".

It's not about the claims, it's about the volume. Hearing it so often, it starts getting annoying.

Maybe the new movie series will breathe some new blood into it. Its what happens in closed canon fandoms, they just end up spiraling inwards without new material to bring something new.

No, she wrote two spin off books for a UK charity way back in the day. Fantastic Beasts and Quidditch through the Ages (both are referenced in-universe) and these are now going to be adapted into movies. How, I dunno, but Warner Bros. say they've found a way. Apparently they are still working on Tales of Beedle the Bard, but she wrote it for a different charity, so there is a whole other rights issue.

Its been all over the internet for the last two weeks. I'm mildly surprised there haven't been secrets about it already.

Oh yeah, sick of Harry Potter too. I liked the original source material but I'm getting sick of all the "rising from the ashes" posts on tumblr. /blacklisted
