I really enjoy this show and I'm attached to the characters, but I think the writing is lazy as all hell.

It has its moments, definitely, but there's no real character development... ever.

I know Jeff has said something about not wanting it to become an "after-school special", but if that's the case, maybe he should stop dropping personal tragedy on every damn character for the shock factor and then not bothering to resolve anything.

I don't want to be invested in characters when the creators either hit the magical reset button and forget what happened to them or kill them off so they don't have to bother.
