Secret 11 - Young Adult vampire novels

I think I'm starting to dislike the "anti-Bella Swan" characters more than the Bella Swans. And it bothers me that young girls see them as role models because "at least they aren't Bella Swan" which is just substituting one extreme with the other. I'd take a useless, needs-to-be-saved character over an aggressive, everything-I-do-is-right character any day.

I see your point on The House of Night series but (I personally) don't agree that VA and Rose belongs in here. One of the things I love most about this series is that all the characters are beautifully flawed. They make mistakes, their actions have consequences and they don't always get it right or make the right choices.
