Thank you.

I don't even like most OCs but I respect the writer's right to create them, to post them, to discuss them. I don't feel threatened by them. The importance of the freedom to express ourselves in fandom without being dictated to by others because they don't like something is far more important.

Yeah

I find it alarming how people's response here is "go make your own community then".

I wish people would be more open minded. When I was young I found historical fiction a big yawn, but I didn't go around making fun of it and telling people who write it that nobody cared and they were "pathetic" to write it.
