I thought it was pretty realistic given all the troubles and stress their relationship had undergone, but like you I just feel really badly for Callie's character (This is the second spouse she's had cheat on her, jesus Rhimes give her a break)

I go back and forth over how I feel about Arizona. Most of the characters are selfish and fucked up a decent amount of the time so sometimes I would be like "okay, you're messed up and kind of annoying but I think it makes you an interesting character and you're cute sometimes" and then at other times (like when she was being an immature brat by trying to sabotage Alex's career to get him to stay in Seattle) it's like "what the fuck is even wrong with you, you're awful".

Her behavior with the whole Alex thing still makes me go "wtf". It certainly wasn't the most unethical thing anyone on that show has done but it might be in the running for most petty...

How about the fact that she got on the plane out of spite because Alex *dared* to get into the most prestigious medical program in the country, and as a result was in the crash. And then she told Alex that it should have been him with the amputated leg and not her, and that how could something so awful happen to someone as good as her and not as awful as Alex. Yes, this is an actual thing that she said.

Callie and Arizona's relationship went through the ringer in S9 because, IMO, Arizona couldn't face up to the fact that she's now an amputee. And continually blames Callie for that, although Callie saved her life. I understand Arizona having issues about her condition. But to blame Callie for that constantly was completely unfair, IMO.

And as such, I really couldn't believe that she cheated on Callie. It was sort of like when Owen cheated on Cristina although their main problem has always been that she doesn't want kids and he does. To me, that did come out of nowhere and seemed unbelievable when their real problem was something else entirely.

Sorry for the tl;dr but no one ever wants to discuss Grey's these days and for some reason I can't stop watching it. It's entertaining, for whatever that's worth.
