There's definitely a trend of female character hating slash fans, which doesn't help with the het fic hate.

I'm just often dissapointed when it comes to het, because I'm not a big fan of most of the terms for vagina. A LOT of fic writers drop the c-word, and by that point I'm out of the mood.

Don't get me wrong, I've dived for the back button on a number of slash fics because the writer used laughable to eyebrow raising descriptors for a guy's junk. But it still lacks the visceral flinch whenever I'm reading a steamy het fic and the BOOM c*nt, especially if there hadn't been any swearing previously.
