if you thought you guys were such good friends, why would you leave without giving them a head's up and tell them not to worry? or was part of the reason you left was so you could give them a stupid test to see if they were your ~*true friends~*? it's possible that your friends are dicks, but so are you

One of my friends did this to her friends and told me that she was 'testing them to see who actually gave a shit about her'. When I said that that was fucked up and not okay, she said, 'But why would you care? I'd never do it to you!'

We are no longer friends.

I knew someone who did that as well (friend of a friend). Needless to say, they lost a lot of friends, real friends over it and became someone I decided to never waste my time on.

TBH I'm a bit baffled by this. OP doesn't feel the need to tell their friends about their life, then gets upset that they don't come and ask about their life. Mixed messages here OP
