OH DEAR GOD
What are the annoying fans going to do? How fucking literary are we getting here? Ship Ichabod with Rip Van Winkle? Then accuse Natty Bumppo
of cultural appropriation, angering all BumpBod shippers? Complain about the continued slut shaming of Hester Prynne?

Honestly NYC is so different it may as well not be part of the state. I remember being fucking thrilled that my home city got mentioned on X-Files once.
I REMEMBER THAT
The day that horrible movie was too take place in our home town, not so much (won't elaborate less you say it's okay, but people with long memories will know the movie)
Re: I REMEMBER THAT
You'd best not mean Snow Day, that wasn't a bad movie.
Re: OH DEAR GOD
As someone from Western NY, I'm totally with you on this. NYC is not at all similar with the rest of the state.
Re: OH DEAR GOD
I mean
Yes.
Re: OH DEAR GOD
WHY?I mean...
Western NY is awesome. Especially if you like copious amounts of snow. :P
Actually, I do like it. It's big enough for things like museums and sports teams, but small enough that I don't feel overwhelmed.
Re: OH DEAR GOD
You do NOT KNOW THE PAIN of copious amounts of snow!

Re: OH DEAR GOD
Personally, I'd like to see them become more than friends (because I'm a sucker for romance). Providing the writers don't drop the ball, Abbie isn't going to lose who she is the moment she falls in love. Contrary to popular belief she can be a strong character and have a relationship at the same time. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
Re: OH DEAR GOD
But I don't think the character would lose a thing. The STORY would. Granted I'm talking about tv in general, I haven't seen this show.
Re: OH DEAR GOD
(Anonymous) 2013-09-23 02:58 am (UTC)(link)At this point, unless I'm in the market for a romance story, I don't even bother watching guy-girl lead shows anymore because I know that's what it's going to end up being.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-23 03:12 am (UTC)(link)That's kind of what it means in television, though. It's more a symptom of bad writing than anything intrinsic to relationships, but characterization tends to go to the dogs once the "will they/won't they" issue is resolved.
