From my POV, it seems like the SJ types from WTNV and Elementary are migrating to Sleepy Hollow, but IA.

Although a clash between the Hannibal and WTNV/Elementary SJs would be hilarious to watch.

I kind of want to watch this because Ichabod looks like a cuter version of Christian Bale, but I'm no good with supernatural horror in tv series (Supernatural, Buffy etc) and I'm not interested in American History. Just how scary is it?

I have to say, when I see fandom forming around a TV show whose pilot just aired, where the characters are still in the prototype stages, the actors haven't settled into their characters enough to imbue them with that something that draws an audience, and the canon has barely been established, I always assume most people doing the flocking are shallow beyond belief.

To feel so strongly about something that is still so new....God, I want to say, get a life.

SPN: Two male leads, Hannibal: Two male leads, Sleepy Hollow:One male lead, one female PoC who isn't a love interest.

I'd rather see Sleepy Hollow over those two any day. I sort of dislike the fandom name, though. "Sleepy heads". I think Hollowers sounds nicer.

It has only been a week and I am already sick of the fandom. I hate the fandoms that have gravitated from Supernatural to Hannibal to Sleepy Hollow.

I wonder how long before they start posting pictures of people with flower crowns.

Please don't tell me Sleepy Fucking Hollow is turning into an SJW-heavy fandom. Or even that it has a fandom. I mean I really have no problem with it but I was interested in a series set in New York State only to realize it isn't just freaky stuff happening in Sleepy Hollow in a Twin Peaks style situation, it's fucking LITERALLY ICHABOD CRANE FOR SOME REASON

What are the annoying fans going to do? How fucking literary are we getting here? Ship Ichabod with Rip Van Winkle? Then accuse Natty Bumppo
of cultural appropriation, angering all BumpBod shippers? Complain about the continued slut shaming of Hester Prynne?

I didn't even think there was a fandom for this yet! Or maybe I just haven't found it on tumblr (I'm assuming you're talking about the fandom on tumblr).

I'll probably just end up enjoying this show with RL friends instead of the general internet fandom anyway because they're the ones who recommended it to me. The pilot was campy fun and I enjoyed it immensely and man, do I hope Ichabod keeps his sexy long hairstyle.

Tumblr really is OTT with their shiny new fandoms. It doesn't need to have anything enjoyable to it really, they just need to decide to glom onto it en masse and have an absolutely insane hysterical feeding frenzy. Pacific Rim and Nightvale are the more recent examples I can think of.

People can say "THEN IGNORE THE FANDOM" as much as they like, but let's be real, it's not always that easy.
