I can't speak for everyone but a) it's annoying and b) there's more to a crossover than just smushing things together. I can see Who and Sherlock, much as I loathe the latter but what does Supernatural have to do with either that makes it such an appealing prospect? No one ever seems to actually *write* anything, they just shout 'SUPERWHOLOCK' and post gifs of all three. That's not a crossover. c) I clearly have too much time on my hands.
