I don't think it's a bad thing OP, to prioritize RL friends and your life outside of the internet.

I've recently gotten burned badly by someone who I thought was my best friend online. I've now realized that I shouldn't take online friendships too seriously and I should take more stock in the people who really will be there for me.

I wouldn't say all online friendships/relationships are meaningless, but they seem to be more likely to fall apart just because you don't really know the person behind the screen as well as you think you do.
