Re: Korra crew member vs Tumblr

I like LOK. I like Korra as a main character. I rewatched ATLA before season 2 started, and although I think ATLA has a better flow, I still think people judge LOK to harshly.

Korra has been growing as a main character and even tho the whole Mako/Asami/Korra love triangle last season wasn't the best, this season Mako/Korra has been sweet. Mako is a good supporting boyfriend and Korra is learning to control her temper, even if at times she's still uses her fists before thinking. Which isn't bad. A lot of male characters act that way, but because Korra is female, I think people are retaliating against her. It's nice to see a woman who is powerful and has her own agency. She's not subservient and speaks her mind. I think its great to see. Plus, she's only 17 and I think people forget we went all stand up citizens at that age. We acted out and make mistakes. That's being a teen.

Korra's growing and maturing and exploring the world and people in a way her father and Tenzin hadn't allowed before. She's finding her footing in the world and I think that's realistic for a 17 year old girl.

I'm enjoying season 2 :)

I think the people complaining about Korra being so immature didn't do that, though. They complained in the corner (or the internet). I'm not judging, I did that too.

Korra strikes me as a very realistic teenager (if that teenager had magical kung fu powers). Aang was a goddamn monk.
