Jesus, I'm all for dogpiling on Stella's bullshit, but Wicca IS a real religion. New does not mean invalid. And yes, there is a difference between religion and cult - cults are inherently dangerous, and there's nothing wrong about Wicca.

My dictionary literally defines Wicca as a religious cult. Maybe you should be taking this up with Oxford, not me.

That's cute. But it's not a cult, at least not in the sociology defined definition of cult, which is made up of:

radical beliefs that are extreme and exclusive
following one person who takes advantage of these people
these people being hyper controlled in their normal lives
ultimately psychologically (or physically) dangerous

Wicca is even legally defined as a religion in the US. Some old dictionaries may not have gotten that memo yet, but it is a religion. And frankly, fuck you for trivializing the religion of probably a million people.
