You tell me. I thought about saying 'it doesn't have a mate' but I figured you only had one foot.

The entity that granted your wish, like Cosmo and Wanda, is unimaginative and incapable of creating things. They merely moved the sock from wherever it was, and brought it here, and it was able to communicate to its people.

That, or it reproduced.
