I love Vimes/Vetinari, but so, so few people do it right. I'd agree with you about fearing the influx of bad Vimes/Vetinari, though.

Do you have any recs for people doing it right? I would love to find good stuff but have only encountered ooc so far.

I love the idea of Vimes/Vetinari, but it has to be either pre-Sybil, S/V/V or take place in an AU where S/V never happened. I hate the fics where Vimes is cheating on Sybil or she gets killed off to make way for the slash.

I've seen a couple of S/V/V fics on ao3 and maybe two pre-Sybil V/V, but the rest is just awful.
