Re: The secret you'd never make because you know it'd be called a troll

I think SJWs who focus entirely on pop culture for their "crusades" are a joke. Go out and do something that matters. "Blurred lines" doesn't matter. The fact that in the US, states are stripping away women's reproduction rights does. Step away from tumblr and write to your congress person and do something.

Thank you, this. If it's important to you, go and act upon it out there in the world.

Amen.

Blurred Lines is a symptom, not a problem (well, other than perpetuating some issues in rape culture). So it's good to use it as an example in discussion about rape culture, but I agree that people are wasting their time if their big goal is to just get that off the radio.

It matters. But like the above anon said, it's just a minor symptom, not the disease, and people treating it as such are going to be completely out of energy by the time they get to the sickness itself if they keep spending all their outrage on what amounts to a sneeze.

oh god, this. Having circular conversations about media you hate is a hobby. It's kinda noticeable how SJWs p much never talk about the most pervasive sites of sexism irl - the workplace, householding/parenting, institutional barriers that filter out women.
