I read through the trilogy in middle school, along with The Hobbit and The Silmarillion, and let me tell you I completely recognize that Tolkien's writing style isn't for everyone.

A bored one who was trying hard to improve her spelling/English skills. I also had a lot of alone time I decided to spend in the library.

Aaaah, me too. Got through the 3 of them when I was 12 in like 2 weeks, I ADORED THEM. I also read basically every book King ever wrote at that time along with a lot of russian literature and other classics, it was probably the time of my life I read more books. Now I have no time. :(

And I'm the same. I keep trying to read the latest book in a series I used to read and I can just never find the time.
