Re: The secret you'd never make because you know it'd be called a troll

I don't think bronies as a whole are that bad. No worse than the rest of internet fandom anyway. I'd make a secret, but the inevitable deluge of "no no no no, you don't understand, they are a special evil, they did X bad thing!!" is sure to make my eyes roll right out of my skull. I have been in fandom for years, I have seen some shit. Bronies are nothing special.

Well, no, not as a whole. But I still think it's okay to call out a large chunk of bronies that protected a guy who raped an underage girl and then called her a slut. Nothanks.

Duh of course it is, what I am saying is that that kind of people are "shitty people who happen to be bronies" not "bronies and therefore shitty people"

THANK YOU

I mean yes I know there are bronies like the ones who protected the rapist guy. But people act like that's the only time something like that has ever happened. You don't think anyone else in a fandom has been a creepy sex creep (or any kind of creep) and had stans defend them for their work?

Yeah freakin' right.

I mean for a less extreme example Cassie Claire was a HUGE bully who was awful to a lot of people, but her fans stanned her, allegedly tried to get someone kicked out of their college(or Cassie did that herself which adds to the bully thing) and bought her a laptop. Also plagiarism.

But yeah BNFs will do shitty things and have people still fall all over themselves protecting them and attacking "naysayers" but that doesn't mean the whole damn fandom is inherently evil. Or a fandom nickname is evil.

It just means hell some people are shitty and do shitty things who have friend who will enable them to do shitty things. That's not exclusive to bronies.

Also I when people talk about how obsessive and weird bronies are. I just sit back and remember that ENTIRE SITE that was dedicated to 'marrying' fictional hot guys to fangirls and claiming them as "theirs".

(some) bronies are just doing what fandom and humanity in general has done for ages.
