To Copy/Paste some questions and answers. It is a challenge but not that hard of one.

I don't trust that you'll give a full selection. I believe you'd do what the writers of "secret diary of a call girl" do, and only cherry pick the answers and situations that make prostitution look glamorous and fun and not at all like it really is.

SA

Based on your reply to me a little way up, I think I can say I'm right not to trust you.

"But...women prostitutes say that as well."

are you the same jackass who kept trying to convince an anon who said they had been in porn that they were too stupid to realize that they had been ~*brainwashed by the patriarchy~* and kept trying to batter them into admitting they were a rape victim?

Frankly I'm surprised she wanted to hear from guys at all. Perhaps so she could know who to hate more.

but you trust random people including anons to give you perfectly honest and varied answers?

Of the women I talked to, only one expressed any negative opinions about prostitution and that was in regards to illegal prostitution.

While forced prostitution is horrible, women who are in the profession of their own consent seem to think of it as a mostly positive experience. They all said they wish it was legalized so it could be regulated.

And you are off your rocker if you think prostitutes from SC that I found on Craigslist are going to be of the "secret diary of a call girl" caliber.

DA

But I'm just curious, what do these women (and you) consider forced prostitution? What I mean is, often when people become a prostitute it's what they feel is their only option. I'm wondering if that would still be considered non-forced.

I hope this isn't offensive, I've tried to word it the best I could. I'm just honestly curious because of the very few prostitutes I've talked to it was never really a positive experience for them, but I recognize that's not true for everyone.

Not at all! I would consider forced prostitution to be when you didn't consent (either forced by someone else, age, mental disabilities, etc). I cannot say that working as a prostitute because it is your only option is explicitly being forced. That is quite a murky area that I would have to let someone more informed answer.

In the case of the women I spoke with, all of them were consensually prostituting themselves. They had no pimps and were all of legal age. They all got into prostitution because of some friend who was doing it. One woman was actually a veteran with a Bachelor's (or associates, I can't recall right now) in Computer Science. But she enjoyed prostitution because it was quick and easy money.

Of course these experiences will not be the same for everyone, which is why I am for legalization. If it is legalized, it can be regulated (like in legal brothels both in Nevada and across the world). Women who are forced can be found and protected. They can also be protected from clients, other workers, and STDs.

'Can be regulated' doesn't mean 'will be regulated'. The German experience, etc.

Well that is a failure of the system. But I don't think keeping it illegal is going to do anything either. Australia has legal brothels and afaik are serious about regulating and ensuring brothel owners are following the law.

What I mean by SDOAC was how they (and you) have habbit of presenting prostitution as a glamorous fun profession that most girls love doing and never have bad experiences.

how they (and you) have habbit of presenting prostitution...

radfem science: make an inquiry, ignore any responses that do not fit with THE THEORY.

PROTECT THE THEORY AT ALL COSTS.

Considering some of the stuff you've said not that long ago...Pot calling the kettle black much?

Re: Prostitution

lololololol

So what I'm getting from this is that you only want to hear from sex workers who find/found it miserable, and no one else. So you already have your mind made up about how sex work is for everyone. So... why are you asking people, again? You know what you want to hear and that's the only thing you'll believe so just go on believing it. You've just said you'll disregard anything that doesn't reconfirm your preconceived beliefs.
