Re: Prostitution
I am assuming this is the same anon who told me, "That sounds like bullshit MRA drivel. Put that fucking book in the fire right goddamned now. seriously. stop. you're better than this."
I responded, "How about you go kindly fuck off. :) Just because a book focuses on things boys suffer from, it doesn't mean it is MRA drivel." Because I am not going to stop reading a book because of someone like that. As a matter of fact, it makes me more likely to read the book out of spite (I was probably going to return the book unfinished, because I should be getting House of Leaves tomorrow).

(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 12:56 am (UTC)(link)The War Against Boys? Really? I'm kinda agreeing with anon a bit.
Re: Prostitution
(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 02:20 am (UTC)(link)you're going to get at someone for reading something that you disagree with, and not immediately chucking it into the flames because it's from a (admittedly awful, dumb, and wrong) political viewpoint you disagree with?
MRAs are stupid as fuck. that doesn't mean that reading something written by MRAs (or even agreeing with something they said) is a personal fault or something to be avoided at all costs. is that really what we're doing now? saying that it's morally unaccpetable to read things from people we disagree with?
