(Anonymous) 2013-09-29 02:07 am (UTC)(link)If you mean the former, it would really depend on specifics. The more hardcore believers might not uncomfortable with, and might say something. Otherwise I think they'd mostly leave fandom alone if they don't end up being interested - and maybe make a few jokes at it's expense.
The reverse...Let's just say that, in my experience, fandom tends to be pretty vicious towards certain religions - and usually in a hypocritical way. What I normally see is fandom folks doing the song and dance of "You have to respect my beliefs [or lack there of], but *I* can call you're entire system of beliefs fairy tales, completely insult it, and all the people who believe it...but if you get upset? Then you're just a radical religious person!"
